In order for the washing machine to work for a long time and things after washing look great, it is necessary to carry out preventive cleaning regularly, once every two months. We will tell you how to clean the washing machine yourself, quickly and efficiently. Divide the process into stages.
We disconnect the washing machine from the outlet and proceed to cleaning the most contaminated parts. First we take out the tray for powder and rinse aid, disassemble it, if possible, and soak in water with detergent.
Now proceed to washing the sealing gum on the door. You can use chemical cleaners, you will need a hard sponge. We pull the door cuff gently so as not to deform it, very thoroughly wash it inside with a sponge.
Most of the dirt is at the bottom of the sealing gum, but you still need to walk with a sponge with detergent around the entire perimeter. Do not forget to rinse off all the cleaning agents used with plain warm water.
It is strongly recommended that you clean the pre-soaked powder tray with an old toothbrush! It often has many protrusions, corners, where dirt accumulates. Do not forget to use the same toothbrush and detergent to cover the entire surface inside – in the place where you got the tray. There are also very many inaccessible sites.
Now we can clean the filter. Usually this part of the washing machine is at the bottom. Take out the filter, remove everything that you found. Small coins and other rubbish often accumulate here. We wash the filter with running water, if necessary, you can also soak it and rub all parts of it with a toothbrush.
Do not forget that the washing machine has one more filter – on the inlet hose. It can also become clogged. Turn off the water supply, turn the machine around, unscrew the nut of the hose, take out a small filter with a mesh with pliers, rinse it, wipe it with a toothbrush or sponge. Insert the filter back and tighten the nut of the inlet hose. Everything is ready for use!
